Over 3 days in September 2022, the Dogwood crew installed a 25-ft by 80-ft concrete driveway to replace the gravel one we’ve had since building our house in Western Loudoun about 10 years ago. WOW – what a tremendous job and huge improvement in terms of both aesthetics and usability. Joe (the owner) was great to work with: energetic, very personable, reliable, knowledgeable, and great at keeping us (the homeowners) informed at every step throughout the process. From the first day he was determined to exceed our expectations for the project. Once the job started, the crew was prompt – they arrived right at 8AM every day. Our project involved grading/leveling the gravel and laying wire mesh; we didn’t really need any forms as we have stone border walls. On the day of the concrete pour, it was a beautiful sight to watch. Started on time; the concrete deliveries were perfectly coordinated; and everyone managed to navigate the steep incline without making hardly any mess (which our neighbors really appreciated). They also used plastic sheeting to cover the stone walls and keep them from getting splattered with concrete – no easy feat with the windy conditions. Again, the driveway looks awesome and we couldn’t be more pleased. And then the next day, the crew was back to pressure wash, clean up (very little), and seed a couple areas where the lawn was damaged in the process (again, very little). Again, blown away at a contractor going above and beyond; we’ve dealt with lots and Dogwood is exceptional. They definitely exceeded our expectations. Don’t know if or when we’ll need more concrete work, but would work with them again – no question. And anyone who reads this should definitely consider them for their next project; you won’t be disappointed.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Joe and Jeremy braved the horribly frigid temperatures and built my Exaco greenhouse orangerie to perfection. They have all the A’s you want in a contractor: Ability, Affability, Availability, Affordability (real value here!), Attitude (outstanding) and Accountability. I am so glad we hired them, I would definitely call them again for future contracting needs.

We had a pool put in and needed not only drainage and a retaining wall but also stamped concrete all the way around it. I can’t say enough positive things about Joe and his crew at Dogwood concrete! From the very first time we spoke, I knew we were in good hands and I trusted him from the minute I spoke with him by phone! His professionalism and industry knowledge was top notch!

Dogwood was contracted to pour a stamped concrete pool deck. I chose the base color and antiquing color and once competed, prior to sealing, I realized the color combo I chose just wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned the final color would look like. I told Joe and he immediately offered solutions!! He sent out his “color master” Cameron to apply additional antiquing color to get it more of what we envisioning. Cameron nailed it!

We had dogwood pour a 30 x50 monolithic pour with footers and slab on grade. They did an excellent job. They outperformed our expectations in all ways. They were courteous and hardworking.
